We’re not just preparing students for college applications—we’re preparing them for life applications.

Our Story

The Appli Forward Foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Betty Anne Hilton, a dedicated educator who devoted more than 30 years to empowering youth, supporting teachers, and strengthening communities through education. After a courageous battle with Stage IV colon cancer, Dr. Hilton's passion for helping others continues to inspire our mission. In recognition of her lifelong service, an auditorium at Yorkwood Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland, was named in her honor.

Today, the Appli Forward Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 39-3999167) committed to ensuring every young person has access to daily support, mental health resources, mentorship, and career training opportunities they need to succeed. Through 24/7 guidance, educational programs, community engagement, and innovative technology, we continue Dr. Hilton's legacy by empowering youth to reach their full potential and build brighter futures.

Who We Are

We’re the Appli Forward Foundation established in Raleigh, NC. A forward-looking, 501c3 organization built to fuel high school students who feel directionless, under-resourced, or just plain overwhelmed by the “what’s next?” post-graduation question mark.

Think of us as your empathetic hype squad fused with an AI-powered mentorship epicenter.

Our story began on April 19, 2001 where Dante’ Hilton vision for meaningful change first took shape. The loss of his mother during surgery later transformed that vision into a deeper purpose: bulding a legacy rooted in service, opportunity, and impact. Today, that purpose drives a mission to ensure every student has a clear path toward a brighter future.

Appli Forward is dedicated to saving lives, changing minds, and empowering youth to see what’s possible for their future. Our youth are supported by real, in-person mentors who show up, listen, guide, and build meaningful relationships.

Through mentorship, resources, and personalized roadmaps, we help young people navigate life’s challenges, discover their purpose, and move forward with confidence, resilience, and hope.

In addition our 24/7 Ai Mentors Skylar and Jordan provide support and guidance of our organization are Skylar and Jordan—our 24/7 AI mentors. They’re more than assistants; they’re lifelines, delivering guidance, knowledge, and encouragement whenever students or parents need it most. They keep support accessible, consistent, and personalized—making sure no student walks this journey alone.

The Hard Truth

  • Nearly 72% of high school graduates say they feel only moderately, slightly, or not at all prepared for life after high school.

  • In earlier years, that number hovered around 75%, with most students feeling unready for college or career decisions.

  • Fewer than 30% of high schoolers feel “very prepared” to pursue any postsecondary pathway—college, work, or training.

  • Around 18% of teens admit they’re not sure what they plan to do after graduation—no direction at all.

Why It Matters

  • Colleges & universities gain applicants who are focused and ready to succeed.

  • Employers & businesses benefit from a stronger, more skilled talent pipeline.

  • Trade schools & the military welcome recruits who know their purpose and direction.

  • Volunteer organizations connect with students eager to serve with intention.
